Researchers’ Night

The NauKom association is a partner organisation on the Researchers' Night project Friend2U (Serbia). Together with a few other organizations and faculties from the University of Novi Sad, NauKom works on panning and realisation of the Researcher's Night programme during 2014. and 2015. The event will be held in five cities in Serbia: Novi Sad, Sombor, Subotica, Zrenjanin and Pančevo. Our partners are: Faculty of Technical Sciences (Novi Sad), Faculty of Sciences (Novi Sad), Centre for Promotion of Science (Belgrade), Creative and Educational Centre, KEC (Novi Sad) and Higher Education Technical School of Professional Studies (Zrenjanin). How to talk about science successfully?

In November 2013, shortly before officially registering the Association of Science Communicators – NauKom, our members organised a two-day workshop called „How to talk about science successfully?“. The seminar was intended for all those who wanted to improve their science communication skills both at scientific meetings and during the popular lectures, but also in the media. The workshop consisted of several lectures, which the participants attended the first day, but it also consisted of the practical part, held on the second day of the workshop, in which participants prepared their brief presentations and got a feedback on-site from both the speakers and other participants. Around 30 participants attended the workshop. The project was supported by the Centre for Promotion of Science in Belgrade and the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad.
